Seemingly unable or unwilling to leave the 17th Century Manor of Treowen in South Wales after losing his famous Sllver Key. A guest of its current owner Mr Haffenden, Mr Carter has worked with the Friends of Miskatonic university in the past to help uncover the secrets hidden there.
